Chuck Meklensek...The Former Head Coach of the Etobicoke Swim Club. Chuck has worked as the Head Age Group Coach, the Marketing Director and as the Head 10 & Under coach for Etobicoke. He led Etobicoke to eight straight Provincial Age Group Championships and to six First Place finishes in the National Age Group Team Rankings. He has been in the forefront of swimming since coming to Ontario in 1990. He has been a member of the Ontario Swim Coaches Association Board and the Central Region Coaches Representative to the OSCA Board. Chuck has coached swimmers to nine different National Age Group Relay Records, coached swimmers to the Top 10 in TAG more than 250 times. He coached two swimmers to the podium in the 1998 Commonwealth Games and has been assistant coach of Provincial and National teams to California and Sweden as well as Head Coach of Provincial and National Teams to Montreal, Sicily, Italy and the 1997 Ontario Canada Games Team. In 1998 Chuck received Ontario's Coach of the Year Award for the 13-14 year old girls age group. Chuck is currently the Head Coach of CyberSwimClub, an online international swim organization. |

Nandi Kormendi ...has been coaching for over 22 years, and is pleased to be returning for his tenth summer with the Swim II Win Swim Camps. Nandi has had success at every level of the sport. Back to Ontario after a three-year stint in Alberta, he returns to the province where his swimmers have won over 120 medals at Provincials, 10 medals at Nationals and have set two Ontario, three National Age Group and three Senior National Records. Nandi has been staff for Provincial Tour teams and Canada Games teams. While coaching Canadian Record Holder Mike Brown, Nandi was National Team Staff on two World Cup meets, Pan Pacific Championships and the 2003 World Aquatic Championships. In 2002, Nandi was awarded OSCA’s Coach of the Year Award.
In Alberta, his athletes set 11 Provincial, two National Age Group and one Senior National Record, winning six more National medals. In 2005 Nandi was awarded both the ACC National and Junior Coach of the Year awards. He was part of the 2005 Canada Games staff, and also coached Provincial Tour teams and ran provincial camps. This past summer another of Nandi’s swimmers qualified for the Pan Pacific Championships team, placing 7th in the competition and was part of the Canadian record-setting Medley Relay team. |
